Shopping in Carlisle

From boutique chic to familiar high-street havens, you will find it all in the award winning The Lanes shopping centre and the pedestrianised main high street. Visit the award-winning Market Hall, which is now one of the few remaining covered Victorian Markets in the country. The regular city centre Farmer's Market has a huge variety of food from around the region, and the annual Food Fair and continental market bring in specialist produce from far and near.
Carlisle Market Hall
The Market Hall, Carlisle, one of the few covered Victorian Markets remaining in the Country has a wide variety of stalls, with everything from fresh meat and veg, haberdashery, clothes, florists, stationery and much more. The Market has two cafés offering food. The Market is open from Monday to Saturday (including bank Holidays) from 9am till 5pm.
The Lanes
Welcome to The Lanes, Carlisle, the premier shopping centre in Cumbria and the Borders. Located close to the historic castle, the cathedral and Tullie House Museum, The Lanes provides great shopping at the heart of the city.
Rosehill Farmers Market
A monthly Farmers Market is operated at Rosehill, close to Junction 43 of the M6. Borderway Farmers Markets are held in the Exhibition Hall, Borderway Mart, Carlisle on the second Saturday of the month between 9.30am and 1pm.
